Too Long
I have been terrible at this posting. Life has gotten crazy busy with Ellie in school and back in Dance. Not that she is gone all day but it's strange how adding school for even just 3 hours can change so much of my day. I have been dog tired having to wake up with her each morning. I don't sleep well at night so 6:30 is hard for me. So hard in fact I have over slept several times and we had a few near misses at the bus stop.
So, here is a bit of recent life.
Ellie's first day at dance class.
We had uncle TW's wedding in Sept. It was very nice and the weather was beautiful!! The local open house was suppose to be held in our backyard but the weather didn't agree and it rained...no it poured buckets that day.
The "boys with guns" photo taken at most weddings involving the Tufts :)
We were all a bit tired due to a late night before hand, but Isaac just couldn't take it any longer and laid down after he finished at the luncheon.

At the reception later that night Isaac couldn't stay out of the chocolate and strawberries. I don't know how I ever got his little suit clean after that night. He was covered from head to toe and that's no exaggeration.
For the local "open house" I made a small wedding cake for display. I did a Neapolitan style with alternating white and chocolate cake with strawberry filling layers. It was pretty good if I do say so myself. I enjoy doing this stuff.

Then there was our adventure in Making jelly for the first time!... the kids helped with the freezer versions and LOVED it. They were great helpers when they weren't eating all the strawberries :)

And here I am getting jars ready for my baked jellies/jams. Photo courtesy of Ellie.
We did several different batches of jams, including: Freezer - Strawberry, Raspberry, peach-Raspberry; Cooked - Strawberry and apple. I would still like to do some of my mom's grapes too, if they are any good still.

Well, I must say that Isaac loves to fall asleep on your lap! I remember a similar picture that I took when we were camping in Stanly. :-) He is such a cute/funny kid.
I love the picture/story of Isaac falling asleep in the closet playing hide and seek. Now you know how to get him to take a nap if he is extremely tired! Just play a game of hide and seek!
Love you!
Aren't you doing a great job! Your kids look great! I wish I could try some homemade jam - I don't know of anyone who makes that here, I think it's because nobody grows the fruit and there are no "great deal" farmers fruit stands. Ellie is beautiful, and so are you, I might add. Sheesh, after 4 years, you'd think I'd quit missing your family, but no dice.
