Camping Baby!

Getting ready for our big weekend was a little stressful, but Isaac put some humor into it. He found my motorbike helmet in the garage and knew he was suppose to wear a helmet to ride his bike, so he tried it on for size.

We spent Memorial weekend at Brownlee Reservoir in the Hamann Family tradition. We go there for the fishing and the last few years it has been rough but this year was AWESOME! We caught well over 400 fish in the three days we were there. Of course we didn't keep them all, some were tiny little things. Jason, Ellie and I all got some nice bass. They were around 13 inches each. It was pretty fun. Isaac even had a good time on papa's boat.

This was the first time Jason actually caught decent fish with my family! I was so happy to hear he caught the biggest fish that day.

Are you checking out my bass?

Isaac was watching us fish and knew that we caught the fish by the mouth with the end of the line. So, I am guessing that he was interested in testing it out on his pole. Lucky for us, his pole has a little floating bobber and not a hook.

In true Isaac fashion, he got up close and personal with the dirt! - yes that is dirt on his face.

Liam spent time hanging out in his bouncer. He was so easy going and happy. It was wonderful. He really liked to see all the nature around him , even at midnight when he wouldn't sleep and we had to go for a walk :)

I don't have any pictures of Ellie, mostly because she was so busy playing with her cousins and new found friends at the camp ground, I couldn't ever get her to stay still long enough. Aunt Heather did get a picture of her fish when they were on the boat since I wasn't with them, so I will have something of her from the trip, just not yet.

Sounds like a fun time. Glad to hear you had some good fishen. Not fun that the kids didn't sleep though. I'm hoping Boston sleeps well while camping this summer.

I am so jealous that you get to camp. You see, Texas doesn't offer that. If you camp, the temp doesn't get below 80 at night. You fight snakes, tarantulas, chiggers, and whatever else you can think of. Not to mention the threat of severe weather with softball sized hail and tornadoes. Okay, so besides camping, Texas is great.
