Happy Birthday Isaac!

Isaac LOVES monster trucks. He has a video game he constantly wants to play, he likes to watch the youtube videos, and can't get enough of the televised Monster Jams (when they are on that is). We decided that we should probably take him to the Monster Jam when it came to town this year as a super birthday surprise. It came about a month early so we weren't sure how he would handle it come his actual birthday and not much in the way of gifts, but he did awesome. He loved it all. It was a great memory for us to give him something like that and even more special that he was ultimately happy with how it all turned out.

We went to dinner before the big show.

Isaac got a Grave Digger T-shirt, his favorite monster truck! The shirts a little bit big but he loves to wear it - it's constantly in the wash.

Watching the show. They had to wear earplugs because it was so loud inside. It took Isaac a little bit to get over the shock of seeing the trucks live, but by the end he was clapping and all smiles.

This was the one thing he said he really wanted for his birthday: A Grave Digger Monster Truck birthday cake. I made it using cupcakes. I originally wanted to do a 3-dimensional cake of the truck but I just didn't have the time I needed to figure it out. This did the job.

Isaac's other big favorite is playing golf with his dad in the backyard, so we found some great Junior clubs on craigslist and now he has his very own set. When he's not playing monster trucks, he is usually in the back hitting some balls.

This is him with his new clubs. He is pretty good for a 4-year-old. :)
