Halloween
So last year we did a fun theme and everyone in the family took part. I tried to convince Ellie to to Scooby-Doo this year, but maybe next year. This year she wanted to be Hanna Montana....no wait, she wanted to be a Ballerina.....no, still not right....She wanted Barbie and the Three musketeers...nope, changed her mind again! Oh that right, she really did want to be a Ballerina, but not just any ballerina - she was a princess ballerina. Wow, glad that decision making is over.
For school they had to have a storybook character and bring their book to school with them, so Ellie used her dancing princesses book and it worked out perfect. She even got to wear my old tiara from my title holding days (I know that thing would come in handy for something).
Isaac wasn't sure what he wanted to be but eventually he decided on a pumpkin. I'm not sure what exactly struck him about being a pumpkin but, so be it. I got crazy and thought...why not make the cosutme and have some fun??! Oh and better yet, let's have Liam be one too! Really, making the costumes is fun to me, but I didn't do very well at budgeting my time those last two weeks and had way to many things to try and complete. Thanks to Nannie for her help in getting those sewn. I did a good part myself, but she really stepped in and hurried it along so they would be ready in time! Thanks Nannie.
I think they turned out great and best of all, both of the boys love them!oh, and this is the cake I was making for a gal from Mom's work for her son's 5th birthday - all while I was trying desperately to finish those costumes!!
Trick or treating at Nannie's house.Since we didn't have a theme this year, Jason decided to resurrect his old Umpa-lumpa costume from a few years back and I did Flo from the Progressive commercials. You really can't appreciate it in these photos, but it was simple, yet fun. I actually had one lady ask me if I worked for progressive and she was serious. I got a good little laugh off that one.
once again, the kids had a great time and got way more candy then they should ever eat...although Isaac seems to have a very high tolerance for sugar overload. :)

What cute costumes, Angie! Way to go getting everything done, too. It seems like that last week or two before Halloween came too fast this year. I didn't get my costume figured out, but at least Ben and Lyss were festive. Jason looks so natural in his costume. :)
P.S. I didn't know you were a cake decorator!! That's awesome! I think that would be fun to do.
