First Day
Ellie had her first day of kindergarten. She was so excited, and still is. She was really happy to be able to wear some of her new school clothes and she was really good about letting me do her hair - that is a big deal. I did really good and didn't cry. I actually didn't even feel like it, except one time when I was walking her down the hall and she was going ahead of me through the crowd with her big ol' backpack and she looked so big. That feeling only lasted about 5 second and then I was great.
I told her to say: "I love kindergarten" and she got so excited. She had a really big grin on her face.
I am so happy and excited for her to have these wonderful experiences. We keep trying to encourage her to try new things, like yesterday we challenged her to learn the names of some new friends. She came home with two new names and one from the first day. We are hoping she will make friends early and have plenty of people to play and learn with, but that has never really been a problem for her.

Oh she looks so cute, what an adorable outfit! Ellie sure is growing up! I can't imagine what that is going to feel like to send Boston to school. I'm sure she'll do great!
Isn't it so exciting that they are getting so big! I choked up a little bit, but Dave was the one having a really hard time. It's funny how excited they are to start Kindergarten, and how excited they'll be to graduate high school - it'll be here before we know it. Any more planning going on to visit Texas in the fall? We'd love to hear your plans.
